MJES Journal of Amar Konkani, a biannual publication by St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), welcomes articles in Konkani language either in Kannda or Devanagari script on themes related to Konkani literature, language and culture. Authors can also send reviews of Konkani books, films or plays.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract: Include an abstract of no more than 150 words, with up to seven key terms at the bottom.
- Content: Ensure your article is well-structured with a clear inquiry, theoretical basis, methodological approach, relevant literature grounding, and concise findings. It should not be a mere summary of a dissertation or thesis.
- Organisation: Arrange your article with an abstract, main body, and references. Appendices are allowed only if necessary.
- Formatting: Submit in soft copy typed neatly (12 font size), in Kannada or Devanagari script using Baraha, Nudi or Unicode database. Ensure consistency throughout the article.
- Length: Articles should be between 3,000 to 5,000 words, one-and-a-half spaced. Shorter submissions are acceptable for reviews.
- Language: Write in Konkani in Kannada or Devanagari script.
- Referencing Style: Follow APA 7th edition guidelines. Try to include recent references.
- Submission: Submit your draft to Chief Editor Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ at editor@amarkonkani.com and instituteofkonkani@staloysius.edu.in (send to both email addresses).
- Exclusivity: While the copyright of the article remains with the author, prior permission from the chief editor is to be obtained if the article once published in MJES Journal of Amar Konkani is to be re-published elsewhere.
- Print: The journal is printed biannually in January and June. The same will be uploaded in www.amarkonkani.com
